چکیده
Adrenal myelolipoma is an extremely rare lesion, which is composed of adipose and hematopoetic tissue. The above-mentioned lesion was first described by Gierke in 1905, with the term myelolipoma used for the first time by Oberling in 1929. The Authors of the study presented a case of a 57 year-old female patient diagnosed with a multifocal adrenal and extra- adrenal myelolipoma.

Multifocal extra-adrenal myelolipoma arising in the greater omentum.
Myelolipomas are rare benign tumors composed of mature fat and hematopoietic elements. They are most often discovered incidentally within the adrenal glands, with extra-adrenal myelolipomas being extremely rare tumors. We report a case of multifocal omental extra-adrenal myelolipoma in a patient who had undergone bilateral adrenalectomy. To our knowledge, this is the first reported case of an i...
متن کاملA rare case of a multifocal extra-adrenal myelolipoma with markedly hypocellular bone marrow.
Extra-adrenal myelolipomas are rare, generally solitary, non-functioning tumors consisting of adipose tissue and hematopoetic elements. These lesions are not known to be associated with underlying hematologic disorders or documented bone marrow abnormalities. We describe the extremely rare occurrence of multifocal, extra-adrenal myelolipomas in a 35-yr-old male. A markedly hypocellular bone mar...
متن کاملAdrenal Myelolipoma: A Case Report
Adrenal myelolipoma is a rare benign tumor that is composed of hematopoietic cells and mature fat. Mostly, these nonfunctioning tumors are distinguished incidentally during autopsy or radiologic investigations. Here, we report a case of 46-year-old man presented with nonspecific abdominal pain for one year, who had right adrenal mass with fat density detected by radiologic investigation. Histop...
متن کاملAdrenal and extra-adrenal myelolipomas - a comparative case report.
Myelolipoma is an uncommon benign tumour composed of mature fat tissue and haematopoietic elements and is most commonly found in the adrenal gland. We report a case, which was discovered incidentally on chest X-ray, of a rare occurrence of multifocal extra-adrenal myelolipoma in the thoracic paravertebral region. This was further investigated with multi-detector computed tomography and magnetic...
متن کاملLow grade B cell lymphoma arising in a background of multifocal extra-adrenal myelolipoma.
Myelolipomas are rare, benign, non-functioning tumors composed of an admixture of mature adipose tissue and hematopoietic elements. Extra-adrenal myelolipomas are extremely rare, but have been reported in multiple sites including the omentum, presacral, and retroperitoneal areas, along with the thorax, kidneys, liver and stomach. We report a case of a 68-year-old man with low-grade B-cell lymph...
